Goonies never say die, and apparently neither do the Dirty Heads.
After witnessing their most recent stop along their “Swim Team” tour at the Fremont Theater in downtown San Luis Obispo, this claim is all too relevant. Allowing the fans to witness their roots with acoustic variations of “strike gently” and their first original “antelope” was a phenomenal move on their part, letting the fans get up close and personal with the band.
Putting out a good blend of old and new, the band opened up with some of their more recent hits “Vacation” and “My Sweet Summer,” followed by “Mad at It” from their newest album Swim Team.
Lead singer Jared Watson spread good vibes throughout the night with his vocals, choreography, and lyrical genius.
Following their show at the Fremont, Dirty Heads will be heading up north along the west coast to the Fox Theatre in Oakland, eventually making their way back down south and over to the east coast later this month, so make sure to check them out and give a listen to ‘Swim Team’ in record stores now.
