From X Factor to being in the studio with Justin Timberlake, Orange County based singer / songwriter John Lindahl is killing the game.

At only twenty years old, John Lindahl is taking on the music industry. With Justin Timberlake inspired rhythms, it’s only a matter of time before his name is in the top charts.
John knew from a young age that he wanted to be fully invested in music. This in mind, he auditioned for X Factor.
“I was 14 years old and my mom convinced me [to audition] by saying it would be ‘audition experience.’ Without any pressure or expectations, it allowed me to just be myself and I made it much farther than both of us expected.”
X Factor progressed John’s career in ways he did not expect.
“X Factor helped me advance my career by forcing me to perform in high pressure situations. Also, I met my future label executive, L.A. Reid. I signed a deal with Epic Records in 2013.”
Since the X Factor, John has had the incredible opportunity to work with the one and only Justin Timberlake.
“Working with Justin Timberlake in the studio was a dream come true because I was able to have my living idol come into the studio and validate me by working on a song that I wrote. Also, he surpassed my expectations in every way … as a person, an artist, a musician.”
Studio time with Timberlake led to another exciting opportunity.
“Singing behind Ed Sheeran at the Grammys was a surreal experience. Not only because it was the Grammys, but because I was being accepted as an artist on a stage of legends (Herbie Hancock, Adam Blackstone, Questlove, Ed Sheeran and John Mayer). It gave me a taste of what I wanted to achieve as a musician.”

In the past year, John released his album “Control.”
“Control was heavily inspired by the ups and downs of the music industry and the emotional strife I was going through …. regarding music and my dreams. One thing I know for sure, no matter what happens I’ll never stop following my dream.”
Music is John’s dream, but maybe it’s also his destiny?
“I don’t know why I was given the gift of music but I do believe that everything happens for a reason and that I’m supposed to make music and spread love and positivity whether the world hears it or not. I love my life and I’m grateful for it every day.”
When spreading his music through writing and performing, family is always there for him.
“My mom always told me that I couldn’t just be a great singer if I wanted to make it. I had to be a great singer, dancer, performer, instrumentalist, producer, songwriter and engineer. I’m so grateful for her drilling that into me at a young age because I have multiple different outlets for expressing myself. My mom and family are so unbelievably supportive of me and what I want to do. I love them so much.”
Of course, his fans are always supportive as well.
“Fans have made covers of my music, tweeted me their favorite lyrics and interacted with me on Periscope and sang my own lyrics back to me when I perform live.”

With crazy good vocals, awesome dance moves, and strong determination, John Lindahl is the real deal.
